Peter begins to close his letter by reminding suffering believers that their present trials are only "for a little while" when viewed through the lens of eternity. Because of the grace of God and the certainty of His promises, disciples of Jesus can endure present suffering with confident hope, knowing that God Himself will complete the work He began and bring them into His eternal glory.
